CIRSD Vice President Stefan Jovanović Participates in China-CEEC Cooperation Forum

Cangzhou, China – Stefan Jovanović, Vice President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD), participated in the 7th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (Cangzhou) SME Cooperation Forum, held on October 26–27 in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, China.

Under the theme “Advance Two-Way Cooperation, Embrace a Shared Future,” the Forum brought together government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and representatives of international organizations to explore new opportunities for economic cooperation, investment, innovation, and sustainable development between China and Central and Eastern European countries.

Organized jointly by the Cangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the SME Development Promotion Center of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Forum has become an important platform for strengthening economic ties between China and the region since its establishment in 2018.

This year’s discussions focused on expanding cross-border business partnerships, enhancing industrial connectivity, and promoting cooperation in emerging sectors, including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and green technologies.

Jovanović’s participation formed part of his visit to Hebei Province, one of China’s major industrial and economic regions, and reflected CIRSD’s continued engagement in promoting international dialogue, sustainable development, and stronger economic connectivity between Europe and Asia.

The Forum highlighted the growing importance of practical cooperation between Chinese and European businesses, particularly in areas where technological innovation and the green transition offer opportunities for long-term partnerships.
