Ukraine is already in election mode. The president and parliament that came to power in the tumult of 2014 will run for a new term in 2019 – the president in March; parliament in October.
However, President Petro Poroshenko is currently trailing in fourth or fifth place in the polls.
He also has the highest negative rating of any candidate: 45% of Ukrainians would not vote for him under any circumstances.
